Late 19th-century Neoclassical charcoal drawing of a Greek or Roman nude male sculpture in the French Academy style. Not unlike Michelangelo's famous David, the finely built figure gazes into another world, his stance, an exquisitely rendered contrapposto. Framed in a yellow beveled wood frame, the various gray tones of are brilliantly offset.
